Erie Marathon Training Recap: 15 Weeks Till Race Day!

Hi Friends! Happy June! Can you believe June is already here?
I hope everyone had an awesome Global Running Day yesterday and got in some great miles to celebrate!

Our Memorial Day weekend was a lot of fun - a good amount of running, lots of family time and lots of good food.

13 miles to start off Saturday...

I was looking forward to a beautiful sunrise, but no such luck. Here in So Cal, we have what's called May Grey and June Gloom - which means there are super foggy mornings with the sun sometimes not coming out till early afternoon. The great thing about this? It's perfect for runners, especially if you are running on the coast. You can pretty much run summer mornings in nice, cool weather.
HEAVEN.

It was a weekend filled with homemade blueberry muffins (2 batches on 2 different days!)...

Swimsuits, blueberry muffins and Pro Compression socks = perfection

Lots of basketball - we got a basketball hoop (the kids just started playing this spring) and everyone is now obsessed with playing!!

Here are my workouts from last week!

Monday May 23rd - 7 miles easy

Tuesday May 24th - 6 miles easy

Wednesday May 25th - 10 x 600 meter repeats on the track. 2 mile warm up, 2 mile cool down. 1:30 rest in between each rep. 6:30-6:40 pace. 8.6 total miles

Thursday May 26th - 6 miles easy

Friday May 27th - 6 miles easy

Saturday May 28th - 13 miles at 7:47 pace

Sunday May 29th - REST

Total Miles: 46.6

Happiness Is Running Life!
